First Presidential Debate tonight and more by Ryan WallersonWho Will Win?- The candidates have left their tracks all over the country during the past two months, spreading their message and knocking down the others as they go. Tonight, as their respective campaign trails reach the home stretch, President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney will finally meet face to face for their first debate of the election season tonight at 9:30 on the University of Denver campus. The primary subject of this debate, the first of three debates between the potential presidents, will be domestic policy. If your one of those people who doesn't follow the polls until the final stages of the election process, now is the time to start paying attention. When you find the right one for you, being a member of that club, whether it be one of the newspapers, the radio station, same TV, the list goes on, can be an extremely rewarding experience. But what club to join? How do you reach out to them? The answer is the CCNY annual club fair, where ther clubs make it their business to come to YOU! The fair will be held in the NAC plaza tomorrow during, you guessed it, club hours. No comittments, no pressure, but it is definitely in your best interest to come see if there isn't a group you want to get into. If not, here's another prime opportunity to root for the team in purple. The women's volleyball team started the season strong, but will take the court tonight trying to break up a five game losing streak that has dropped their record to a dismal 4-9. The key to that streak has been an offensive slump, so a strong home crowd showing some CCNY love might be just what the girls need to get back on point. The ball goes up at 7 PM this evening inside the Nat Holman Gym. if you have a chance, swing through and see how they are doing. Here at CCNY, we are blessed with an imtelligent, experienced leader in President Coico. Last semester, CCNY's "commander in chief" sat down for a Q&A session, her first since becoming president in 2010, and gave, among other things, her impression of our student body, a strong endorsemnet of the science department, and spoke about herself in general. For all of our complaints about this and that on campus, she keeps the entire thing running, and we all get smarter everyday as a result. She at least deserves a read fo all her hard work. There are talks about cutting the library bugdet by 40%, which would directly cause cuts in the operating hours of the main library, and may also have a trickle down effect on the science library. Again, no formal public annoucement has been made, but be sure to pay attention, budget cuts are always scary stuff.
