Ebola Hits Home: A Special Report

via youtubeThe deadly Ebola virus was one of our biggest stories of the year. The disease killed thousands in West Africa, but then became a local story when Dr. Craig Spencer returned to Harlem from Guinea and was diagnosed with the virus. He lives on West 147th Street, not far from our college. Even as his condition improved and he was no longer contagious--and City College posted useful and practical prevention information on its website--fear, stigma and rumors continued to spread in New York and online.
