Hot in the City!

High temperatures sent CCNY students out of doors. By Eitan Yaacov Negri and Jennifer De LeonCity College students took advantage of the unusually hot weather today, with a larger amount of students roaming the campus, eating outside, hanging out in between classes and gathering in the quad for the freshman convocation. With a high of 82 degrees and sunny, today’s temperature surpasses the yearly average of 61-72 degrees.City students love the unseasonable weather.“I like to drink an ice cold beer and enjoy an outdoor concert.” says Adam P., a senior in the architecture department.  “Basically I’d rather be outside.”Has global warming triggered the temperatures? Who knows? But climate change is the farthest thing from most students' minds. When asked about the issue, Cynthia De Los Santos, 24, a psychology major remarked, “No, not really to be honest. I just enjoy hanging out in this weather and walking around the city, its perfect for that.”A few students favor colder weather and wish the temperature would drop. “I feel relaxed now but I’ve been running away from bees all day," says Briana Leslie, 22. "I prefer colder weather. “
